Job summary

Intralox's Harahan, LA plastics facility is seeking a Plant Wide Resource to safely move products and support the Materials Distribution group. You will perform accurate transactions, issue parts for jobs, and assist in operating the blending room.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, reliable teamwork, and the ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts with rotating weekends, in a 365/24/7 operation on-site.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Stable work history in manufacturing or technical environments.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Self-managed; able to work with minimal supervision and be team oriented.
• Basic computer skills and good communication.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and overtime as needed.
• Pass a physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Move completed pallets of parts using forklifts and pallet movers.
• Perform accurate transactions of product movement and issue parts to jobs.
• Complete finished goods transactions and restock consumables.
• Maintain lean/5S on the floor and support blending room operations.
• Operate blending room equipment and assist in TM/TPM tasks as required.
• Identify equipment condition and safety issues during shifts and document findings.

Job description

Intralox has a position open for a Plant Wide Resource in the Harahan, LA Plastics facility. This person will work within the Materials Distribution group safely and efficiently moving product in and out of the factories, executing accurate transactions and assisting in operating the blending room. This person will report to the Material Distribution Group Supervisor. This facility will be a 365/24/7 operation, and this position will work 12-hour Overnight shifts (6:50 PM - 7:00 AM) with rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities

• Moving completed pallets of parts utilizing fork-lifts/pallet movers
• Perform Accurate transactions of product movement
• Issue parts to jobs needing secondary parts
• Completing finished goods transactions
• Actively maintains lean/5S processes on the floor
• Restocks MDG with consumables
• Issues and receives secondary equipment to and from Factories
• Operation of the Blending room
• Diagnostics of basic technical issues on blending equipment
• Intralox systems knowledge to execute job changes
• Regrinding scrap parts or recycling them as appropriate
• Total Production Maintenance (TPM) Performance of Blending Preventative Maintenance tasks
• Daily assessment of equipment condition and potential safety issues
• Reporting and documentation of cell issues through work order requests and shift summaries Housekeeping

Requirements
