Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in materials or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years directly applicable work experience.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of footwear material types (fibers, yarns, textiles, leathers, synthetic leathers, components or trims).
  • Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive materials creation, sourcing, costing, quality, and implementation of sustainable solutions.
  • Convert project briefs from 2D design to 3D samples balancing athlete and business needs.
  • Engage in all phases of product creation to meet critical dates and quality standards.
  • Build toolkits and material palettes to optimize material choice.
