Job summary

CompoSecure is seeking an organized Material Coordinator I to support production by pulling and allocating inventory to lineside locations and staging areas. You will maintain high inventory accuracy and contribute to ERP data integrity while coordinating between Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

This role requires a minimum 3 years in manufacturing, excellent communication, detail orientation, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree preferred; High School education a must.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Task oriented with strong organizational skills; able to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying part identification numbers listed on work orders.
• Monitors inventory levels and schedules items either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
• Coordinates the transfer of raw materials and other parts between CompoSecure facilities.
• Maintains in-process inventory in Kan Bans, Supermarkets, and work centers.
• Conducts cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy (daily, weekly, and monthly counts).
• Provides ideas to refine procedures to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Monitors inventory levels and evaluates transactions to resolve count discrepancies.
• Analyzes inventory variances.
• Identifies and elevates issues regarding handling and storage of inventoried items.
• Ensures full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
• Serves as resource and informal mentor to Material Coordinator I team members.
• Leads root cause analysis on recurring inventory discrepancies and recommends corrective actions.
• Assists in developing and documenting SOPs for material handling and inventory control processes.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to resolve shortages and expedite critical work orders.
• Supports ERP system data integrity by auditing transaction records and flagging inconsistencies.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for supporting production by pulling and allocating material from inventory to lineside supermarkets and designated staging areas. The MC will be required to stage finished goods for pick up or put them away into storage. The MC is ultimately responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within all of CompoSecure's facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying part identification numbers listed on work orders.
• Monitors inventory levels and schedules items either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
• Coordinates the transfer of raw materials and other parts between CompoSecure facilities.
• Maintains in-process inventory in Kan Bans, Supermarkets, and work centers.
• Conducts cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy (daily, weekly, and monthly counts are performed).
• Provide ideas/insights to refine established procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency, improve quality, and reduce cost.
• Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and evaluating transactions to resolve count discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory variances.
• Identify and elevate as appropriate issues regarding the handling and storage of inventoried items.
• Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
• Serves as a resource and informal mentor to Material Coordinator I team members, providing guidance on inventory processes and best practices.
• Leads root cause analysis on recurring inventory discrepancies and recommends corrective actions to supervision.
• Assists in developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling and inventory control processes.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve material shortages and expedite critical work orders.
• Supports ERP system data integrity by auditing transaction records and flagging inconsistencies for review.

Other Important Responsibilities

• Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant project situations
• Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness programs.
• Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned.

• Education, Certifications; Associate degree preferred, High School Education a must.
