Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Materials Coordinator - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $22 per hour.

The shift hours are 3:30pm – 2:00 am.

What you’ll do:

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring materials flow safely, efficiently, and accurately throughout all production areas. This role plays a key part in supporting daily operations by unloading incoming trucks, transporting materials from fabrication, and delivering components to the appropriate workstations on time.

The coordinator maintains organized material staging areas, monitors inventory levels, and ensures all materials are handled and moved according to safety and quality standards. This position also assists with loading, unloading, and operating material-handling equipment as needed. Overall, the Materials Coordinator ensures that materials are properly received, tracked, and delivered to keep production running smoothly and without interruption.

In this function you will:
  • Unload inbound trucks - Safely unload incoming carriers and verify materials against shipping documents for accuracy.
  • Transport materials from fabrication - Move materials from fab to designated production areas to maintain workflow.
  • Deliver materials to production - Ensure timely delivery of components to workstations to support continuous operations.
  • Maintain material flow - Keep materials moving smoothly and accurately through all production areas.
  • Operate material-handling equipment - Safely operate PIV and other equipment while following all safety protocols.
  • Complete daily PIV inspections - Perform pre-use inspections and report any damage or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Support loading and unloading - Assist with loading outbound materials and repositioning inventory as needed.
  • Maintain organized staging areas - Uphold 5S standards, ensuring materials are clearly labeled, accessible, and properly stored.
  • Collaborate with production teams - Work with team leads and supervisors to support material needs and resolve shortages.
  • Assist with overflow tasks - Support Material Handling Team with additional duties during high-volume periods.
  • Support special assignments - Assist leadership with special projects, training, or process improvements as required.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. from accredited institution is required
  • 1 year of direct manufacturing experience or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Previous Material Handling/Supply Chain experience
  • Preferred candidate should have a working knowledge of the LVA operations
  • Associates degree in a related field
  • Enovia Experience
Position Criteria:
  • Forklift and Powered Industrial Vehicle certification or must be eligible to acquire
  • Crane certification or must be eligible to acquire
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds - waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Proven history of safe work habitsMust be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime - weekdays and weekends
