Responsibilities

• Process receipts, match paperwork, and send to accounting per the guidelines.
• Build relationships with customers and transportation companies to create a team environment.
• Meet with associates to coach, counsel, or confront issues as needed.
• Process all inventory transactions per accounting guidelines and departmental standards.
• Interface with internal personnel to address data discrepancies and lost time.
• Ensure tools and equipment are ready to meet schedules; prepare daily PMs and maintenance instructions.
• Assist associates in achieving safety, quality, and accountability while maintaining productivity.
• Assist Materials Department in ensuring materials are accounted for (WTS, DTSLOC, Warehouse).
• Schedule vacations and enter necessary data in KRONOS.
• Understand MOS objectives to increase productivity.

Job description

Position Purpose:

Assigns work, ensuring that work is flowing as planned through Shipping and Receiving, and ensuring that materials are shipped and received in a reasonable time so that production is not hindered. Provide training to new associates and to existing associates on new procedures, equipment and products.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the timely processing of all outbound material issues, all incoming material receipts, and all types of inventory control transactions used in these processes.
• Resolve data accuracy problems associates with the shipping and receiving process quickly.
• Perform filing activities per department requirements.
• Process receipts, match paperwork, and send to accounting per the accounting guidelines.
• Build relationships with the customers and transportation companies to create a team environment.
• Meet with associate(s) when necessary to coach, counsel, or confront issues.
• Process all inventory transactions in a manner consistent with accounting guidelines and the departmental standards of performance.
• Interface with internal personnel to insure an acceptable solution is derived to properly address situations pertaining to data discrepancies and lost time.
• Insure that necessary tools and equipment are ready and available to meet schedules. Prepare instructions for daily PM’s and periodic equipment maintenance (forklifts, reach trucks).
• Assist associates in achieving goals in safety, quality, and accountability while ensuring associates stay productive.
• Assist Materials Department in ensuring that materials are accounted for (WTS, DTSLOC, Warehouse).
• Schedule vacations and enter necessary date in the KRONOS system.
• Understand and implement MOS objectives to increase productivity.

Education and Training

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience required.
