Job summary

Hendrickson in Clarksville, TN is seeking a full-time Materials Lead to supervise Shipping and Receiving, ensuring timely processing of outbound and inbound materials to prevent production delays.

You will train new associates, coach others, and maintain data accuracy while coordinating with customers and transportation companies to foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years’ experience in material handling or shipping and receiving preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP II concepts, practices, and procedures helpful.
• Good interpersonal skills and must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 6 month as Line Leader (any department)

Responsibilities

• Assist in timely processing of all outbound material issues, all incoming material receipts, and all types of inventory control transactions used in these processes.
• Resolve data accuracy problems associates with the shipping and receiving process quickly.
• Process receipts, match paperwork, and send to accounting per the accounting guidelines.
• Build relationships with customers and transportation companies to create a team environment.
• Meet with associate(s) when necessary to coach, counsel, or confront issues.
• Process all inventory transactions in a manner consistent with accounting guidelines and the departmental standards of performance.
• Interface with internal personnel to ensure an acceptable solution is derived to address data discrepancies and lost time.
• Ensure necessary tools and equipment are ready and available to meet schedules. Prepare instructions for daily PMs and periodic equipment maintenance.
• Assist associates in achieving goals in safety, quality, and accountability while ensuring associates stay productive.
• Assist Materials Department in ensuring that materials are accounted for (WTS, DTSLOC, Warehouse).
• Schedule vacations and enter necessary data in the KRONOS system.
• Understand and implement MOS objectives to increase productivity.

Job Description

Position Purpose:

Assigns work, ensuring that work is flowing as planned through Shipping and Receiving, and ensuring that materials are shipped and received in a reasonable time so that production is not hindered. Provide training to new associates and to existing associates on new procedures, equipment and products.
