Job summary

Assurant is seeking a Material Control Technician for our Mt. Juliet, TN facility.

This onsite role runs Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM, supporting receipts, orders, shipments, and materials to meet organizational goals. You will monitor Tableau and Oracle dashboards, resolve issues, input material movement transactions into Oracle/ERP, and contribute to continuous improvement while training teammates as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to guide the team.
• Proficient with procedures and equipment for department functions; Oracle and SQL.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Tableau/Oracle reporting to ensure dashboards are current and resolves issues.
• Researches and resolves issues preventing devices, shipments, or materials from moving through the processes.
• Communicates with representatives to rectify problems related to order cancellations, materials transactions, call center support, shortages, damage, nonconformances.
• Prepares documents to route materials: shipping labels, work orders, bills of lading.
• Inputs material movement transactions into Oracle and/or ERP systems.
• Trains and/or cross-trains associates as needed.
• Participates in continuous improvement and team-building activities.
• Ensures department documentation is accurate and up to date; partners with Engineering on changes.
• Generates internal reports as requested by leadership.
• Conducts other duties as assigned.
