Job summary

Assurant, Inc. is seeking a Material Control Technician for the Mt Juliet, TN facility on a weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM). This onsite role focuses on resolving issues with receipts, orders, shipments, and materials to meet department goals.

You will monitor Tableau/Oracle dashboards, input transactions, train staff as needed, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring accurate documentation and coordination with Engineering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to direct the team.
• Proficient with PC, MS Office, Oracle, and SQL.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Tableau/Oracle reporting to ensure dashboards are current, investigating and resolving issues.
• Research and resolve issues preventing devices, shipments, or materials from moving through departments.
• Communicates with designated representative to rectify problems related to orders, cancellations, materials transactions, call center support, shortages, damage, or nonconformances.
• Prepares documents to route materials: shipping labels, work orders, bills of lading.
• Input material movement transactions to Oracle and/or ERP systems.
• Trains and cross-trains associates as needed; participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Ensures department documentation is accurate and updated; partners with Engineering on changes.
• Generates internal reports as requested by department leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
