Your role at Clorox:

As the Materials Change Management Lead, you will provide leadership, coordination, and technical expertise for upcoming materials changes across the Supply Chain. The successful individual will also lead material coordination with a specific focus on vertical start-ups, reduced waste, material availability, and new item integration. You will partner with Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, current MSM team members, impacted manufacturing locations, and the External Manufacturing network to integrate all supply chain components when large-scale changes are projected across the operating environment. Use company planning and inventory tools to support accurate material forecasts and usage projections while optimizing inventory levels and supplier lead times across the business unit. Serve as the chief resource within the BU for managing material changes across the portfolio.

In this role, you will:
  • Analyze and execute material impacts (30%): Conduct accurate analysis, integration, and execution of projected material impacts associated with Supply Chain initiatives across the business unit.
  • Support site and project engagement (30%): Attend project kick-off meetings, regular working sessions, and site meetings in support of upcoming strategic business unit initiatives. Maintain awareness of current projects and their material impacts across the Supply Chain.
  • Cross-functional change integration (20%): Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Project Management, Materials partners, and manufacturing locations to integrate material planning into proposed changes. Update forecasts, project documents, and standard operating procedures as needed and execute change management across the total Supply Chain.
  • Support MSM and MM&P processes (20%): Support business unit Materials Management and Planning efforts, ensuring that new changes are integrated into existing processes. Update all required MSM processes and serve as the owner of Change processes for the MSM function.
  • Partner with manufacturing locations to support successful integration of proposed changes across their sites.
  • Provide forecast changes and material impacts to project team members supporting company initiatives.
  • Reduce material waste resulting from network changes and support material run-outs and new-material start-ups at manufacturing locations. Improve year over year performance for D&D across the BU.
  • Integrate with the External Manufacturing network to ensure total Supply Chain awareness of proposed changes.
  • Establish material processes and lead times that support vertical start-up of projects and network changes.
  • Provide material updates to Supply Chain leadership and coordinate connection with the Supply Chain Squad.
  • Integrate proposed material changes into business unit IBP processes and provide early warning of impacts to production plans.
  • Support overall MSM and Materials Management & Planning efforts within the Cleaning business unit, as needed.
What we look for:
  • 6+ years of Supply Chain experience spanning more than one discipline, including Services, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, or Logistics.
  • BS/BA degree; Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering, or another technical field is preferred. MBA is highly desirable.
  • Experience in production planning, projects and manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Broad industry experience, with a preference for Consumer Packaged Goods.
  • Knowledge of stage-gate processes and project management practices; professional project management certification is desired.
  • Inventory Management experience.
  • Material Management and Material Transitions experience.
