Job summary

Yoh is seeking an Intermediate Materials Buyer in Gloucester, MA on an onsite basis. This 12-month contract-to-hire role offers $30.00–$37.00 per hour and a path to a long-term position within a global organization.

You will negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers, manage non-strategic vendors, issue RFQs, analyze proposals, and ensure timely delivery of materials while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.
• Solid understanding of inventory, logistics, and procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers.
• Manage non-strategic vendors and ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, and drive supplier selection.
• Expediate orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Resolve material, receiving, and accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and purchasing records.
• Continuously improve processes and supplier performance.
