Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer in North Reading, MA for a 3-Month Contract. The role focuses on direct procurement, supplier management, and material planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work hands-on with ERP systems to manage POs, reschedule, and demand planning.

The ideal candidate brings strong Excel skills, KPI-driven supplier oversight, and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives within procurement and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and supplier portfolios.
• Proficiency with ERP systems for PO execution and demand planning.
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and lookups.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials, components, and other critical items.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor KPIs.
• Support supplier scorecards and business reviews.
• Plan material requirements and maintain inventory levels via ERP.
• Monitor supply risks and communicate mitigations.
• Track purchase orders, deliveries, and expedite requests.
• Drive supplier performance improvement and issue resolution.
• Resolve receiving discrepancies and assist with invoice reconciliation.
• Manage supplier returns and non-conformance processes.
• Identify process improvements and drive cross-functional initiatives.
