Eaton South Bend is seeking a Materials Attendant Specialist – 1st Shift. The role focuses on packing, visually inspecting, and shipping product to customers, serving as the final quality checkpoint for finished goods.

Responsibilities include operating cleaners, moving material with forklifts, scheduling trucks, weighing parts, maintaining inventory, and performing preventive maintenance. High school diploma required; must be able to work in a team in South Bend, IN.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of South Bend, IN will be considered for this position.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate traditional, precision and BCT cleaners.
• Move material using forklifts.
• Schedule, load and unload trucks.
• Sample weigh parts as required.
• Clean and organize area as required.
• Determine acceptable quality by using visual inspection techniques and precision equipment.
• Operate the shot peen equipment and package parts for shipment.
• Perform all necessary PMs.
• Able to perform basic math functions
• Maintain and control inventory. Perform computer inventory transactions.
