Responsibilities

• Responsible for counting and replenishing par level supply carts using handheld computers and the MMIS.
• Enter stock issues and direct patient charges into the MMIS.
• Provide stock labeling assistance as directed.
• Restock operating rooms and deliver case supplies to the O/R.
• Deliver orders and shipments to end user departments as assigned.
• Reconcile patient charges and issues using the MMIS.
• Assist with cycle count and physical inventory processes as directed.
• Perform equipment-tracking functions using equipment management software.
• Count and replenish stock on code carts and isolation carts.
• Provide training and education to peer staff on par management, handheld devices, and patient charging.
• Communicate professionally with customers and support personnel via phone or in person.
• Replenish surgical case carts as assigned.
• Clean and decontaminate patient rental equipment per policy.
• Follow policies, procedures, safety standards; complete annual education and participate in quality initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Works under the general supervision of the Manager of Materials Distribution to provide supply distribution services to assigned customers. Uses the Materials Management Information System to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs all duties necessary to ensure that the supply needs of the hospital are met in a timely and high quality manner.

• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
