Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Materials Associate to support daily materials operations at Weymouth, MA. Under supervision, you will handle equipment, supply, linen and distribution processes, maintain records and ensure timely delivery to patient care areas.

You will work with the Materials Supervisor, embrace safety culture, operate information systems, and respond to emergency supply requests while maintaining accurate documentation and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of stock, inventory or receiving experience.
  • Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to work with automated systems and devices.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Technology and Learning: learn and utilize new technology and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of safety and communicate effectively within the team.
  • Deliver, retrieve and track equipment and maintain equipment as required.
  • Support medical surgical supply program for designated patient care areas.
  • Respond to emergency supply requests and perform general receiving and distribution.
  • Provide support to mail services and copy center as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The associate will be proficient in all areas of materials to include: equipment, supply, linen, receiving and distribution. The associate will represent the department in a positive and professional manner. Maintains records of assignments, service request and delivery verification.Compensation Pay Range:$20.10 - $28.751 - Must be able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery; do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction; deal with service failures and prioritize customer needs.2 - Able to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines; establish high standards and measures; do work right the first time and inspect material for flaws.
