Job Description And Duties

Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit R12 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by three percent and will receive five PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027 . Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.

Under the direction of the Supervisor II, the Materials and Stores Specialist (M&SS) is responsible for the purchasing, inventory, labeling, disbursement, shipping and receiving of materials and assets for CCHCS headquarters and regional offices. Travel to Sacramento, Elk Grove, and Regional/Satellite offices throughout the State is required (15%).

This position is located in the Business Operations Section, Business Services. The program manages and provides various essential support services related to building maintenance, space and lease management, reprographics, mail services, office supply management, and Business Continuity to California Correctional Health Care Services’ offices throughout the state, including the following:

  • Elk Grove Headquarters
  • Health Records Center
  • Central Fill Pharmacy
  • Fresno Regional Office
  • Bakersfield Regional Office
  • Rancho Cucamonga Regional Office
  • Diamond Bar Regional Office
  • Santa Ana Region Office
  • CCHCS Warehouse
