Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah seeks a Materials and Processes Engineer to lead major engineering programs, defining technical requirements for suppliers and internal teams. This onsite, full-time role supports Powerplant, Environmental Control, Structures, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines while driving continuous improvement and ITAR compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering with 13–15 years in a technical field, experience with SmarTeam and CATIA, and MRB integration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • 13–15 years in a technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience with a Bachelor's.
  • Experience credit for related advanced degrees: Masters up to 2 years; PhD up to 4 years.

Responsibilities

  • Selects methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Is consulted by associates as a recognized authority within the field.
  • Anticipates and resolves complex issues, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
  • Balances technical, cost, and schedule considerations in problem solving.
  • Works without appreciable direction; long-range results are reviewed.
  • Exercises latitude to set objectives and make authoritative recommendations.

Job description

Dept. 654 Material and Processes Engineer
Position Purpose:

Guides successful completion of major engineering programs or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

Unique Skills:
  • Preferred Materials and Processes Engineering experience in generating and communicating technical requirements to external suppliers and internal multi-engineering disciplines (Powerplant, Environmental Control, Structures, Electrical, and Mechanical).
  • Smarteam and Catia experience of reviewing proposed designs and workflows.
  • Produced EAR approved test plans and results reports.
  • Must have demonstrated successful manufacturing liaison material review board (MRB) integration and implemented continuous improvement projects.
  • Onsite work full time. Candidate must be legally qualified to work on an ITAR project.
  • Good understanding of continuous improvement and how it relates to M&P.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 13 yrs in specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.
  • Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
