Job summary

BD in Sparks, MD is seeking an enterprising associate to handle shipping, receiving, storing and supplying materials for production. You will use SAP for transactions, perform bin transfers and ensure accurate material locations.

The role involves loading carts, managing staging, and maintaining stock levels, with a 2nd shift schedule and overtime as needed. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and adherence to GMP and BD safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs shipping, receiving, storing, staging and supplying materials to operators and workstations.

• Process material movements in SAP and locate materials in the warehouse.
• Perform bin-to-bin transfers and load equipment to production areas.
• Run material staging in SAP and ensure materials levels are maintained.
• May order required materials from outside vendors and receive deliveries.

Job Description Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, staging and supplying materials (raw, work-in-process and finished goods), parts and supplies, to operators, workstations and distribution center
• May prepare goods for shipment to the distribution center
• Complete all necessary SAP Training to obtain the necessary profiles
• May be responsible for ordering required materials from outside vendors and offload all deliveries from outside vendors and do goods receipts for the deliveries
• Physically locate the materials in the warehouse and then perform transactions in SAP to locate them in the system
• Do bin to bin transfers for all moves from the warehouse to the PSA’s
• Hand load carts/racks equipment and deliver to production areas
• Run Material Staging in SAP
• May evaluate all production schedules and determine materials needed from outside vendors
• Maintain required levels of materials in the various PSA’s
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
