Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a warehouse associate to identify, receive, store, and issue materials across multiple locations in Wisconsin. You will load/unload trucks, perform packing for shipping, and maintain inventory accuracy while working with the team to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires good reading/writing, math ability, and use of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Shift flexibility and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Identify, receive, store, and issue materials using lift trucks or pickers.
  • Load and unload trucks; move and kit items as required.
  • Perform packing for shipping with proper bracing for transport.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and keep stock rooms orderly.
  • Communicate availability of parts and finished work to team.

Job Description Summary

Possible Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Possible Location: Waukesha, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Oak Creek, WI Labor Grade: LG09 Union: Lodge 1916

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions Include:
  • To identify, appropriate, receive, store, and issue all types of material and supplies with and without the use of mobile lift trucks and/or pickers.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Delivers items to and from the floor as required, including filling and moving all types of kitting operations.
  • Perform visual checks of materials as feasible
  • Performs all packing in preparation for various methods of shipping: builds special boxes including necessary bracing to insure against damage; arranges for most economical method of transportation; maintains records including contents of packages, weights, etc.
  • Performs shipping, receiving and quality transactions on all company computer systems, maintains various records
  • Ensures inventory accuracy, including verification of quantity, size, shape, weight, and required parts.
  • Maintain supplies on hand to perform the function.
  • Keeps stock rooms and supermarkets neat and orderly.
  • Performs work of miscellaneous nature whenever it is conducive to efficient operation and/or maintaining production.
  • Communicates (written and verbally) information concerning the availability of piece parts, completed work, etc. using current methods including email and web.
  • Interface with co-workers and other team members, suppliers, transportation agencies, and customers to achieve operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:
  • Have a demonstrated ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions.
  • Have demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations such as multiplication and division with decimals and fractions.
  • Have demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools, scale, square, tape measure, calipers, etc.
  • Have demonstrated ability to accurately use mechanical devices such as micrometers, height gauges, dial calipers, etc.
  • Meet physical requirements for mobile equipment operators; must be able to operate powered vehicles and maintain operator's license.
  • Have demonstrated ability to perform transactions on company computer systems.
  • Able to discriminate visually to perform various checks (GEMS vision test or equivalent)
  • Able to discriminate auditorially to perform noise checks
  • Bending motions from waist required
  • Able to handle/lift various parts/assemblies
  • Repetitive hand and wrist motion required
  • Extended period of standing/sitting
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry forty (40) pounds on a repetitive basis
Quality Specific Goals:
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
