Job summary

Time Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Material Technician for Shipping and Receiving on the 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm). The role focuses on accurate inventory, processing inbound/outbound freight, and maintaining a safe work environment in a clean, climate-controlled facility.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift experience or certification is a plus. No supervisory responsibilities are required.

Join our team as a Material Technician specializing in Shipping and Receiving on the 1st shift, where your attention to detail and physical dexterity will ensure seamless material flow and inventory accuracy. In this vital role, you will process incoming and outgoing freight, verify shipments, operate material handling equipment, and maintain an organized work environment that supports operational efficiency and safety.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and report printing
• Ability to read and interpret shipping instructions and production orders
• Proficiency in using weigh scales, label printers, and clerical supplies
• Knowledge of FIFO inventory methods and stock location management
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, and grasping
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to Have Skills:

• Forklift certification and experience
• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
• Familiarity with material handling equipment maintenance

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work in a clean, climate-controlled environment
• Must be able to complete daily forklift safety and equipment checklists
