Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Material Technician to ensure correct raw material blends for molded products. You will weigh materials, operate shredders and Sortex equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and monitor blenders to meet production targets.

Requires a High School diploma and forklift/hand jack certification; safety and efficiency are emphasized, with a strong focus on clean, safe operations and effective communication with the process team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift or powered hand jack certification provided by OES.
• Lockout/Tagout authorization provided by OES.

Responsibilities

• Weighs or measures raw materials to ensure correct blend per specs.
• Loads and operates shredder/granulator and Sortex equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on Sortex and shredder equipment.
• Monitors material blenders and communicates issues to supervisor.
• Cleans blenders during material changeovers.
• Transfers materials between work areas to meet production targets.
• Checks finished products against quality standards and adjusts blends as directed.
• Maintains machine cleanliness and safety within the work area.
• Addresses material flow issues and unclogs hoses as needed.
• Follows Visual Operating Procedures for standard tasks.
