Job summary

Mercury Electronics is seeking a Material Coordinator to join our fast-paced, contract-manufacturer environment in Manchester Township, PA. You will manage inventory records, kanban/min-max systems, and requisitions, with responsibilities that include BOM/ECN sign-offs and data-driven reporting.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize work.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Office suite and ERP/database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inhouse inventory records and data accuracy.
  • Manage kanban and min/max systems per customer requests.
  • Process requisitions to purchasing and sign off on BOMs and ECNs; adjust inventory as needed.
  • Assist material clerks with daily duties and run reports from the system.
  • Analyze and summarize reports to keep management informed.

Job description

Mercury Electronics has a challenging opportunity available for a talented, enthusiastic and motivated Material Coordinator. reporting directly to the Materials Manager. We are seeking an outgoing individual, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in our fast paced, dynamic environment. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Must use inhouse computer system for all inventory records
  • Establish inventory records with all necessary data
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory with regards to physical counts and monetary value
  • Maintain kanban and min/max systems as directed by customer requests
  • Timely processing of truth tables, generating requisitions to purchasing through the process
  • Sign off on Bill of Materials and Engineering Change Notices (ECN's) and adjust inventory as required
  • Assist material clerks as needed with daily job duties
  • Run reports through inhouse computer system
  • Keep management informed by analyzing and summarizing reports and other information
Qualifications / Requirements

Candidate qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize work
  • A proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels of an organization
  • High levels of basic math accuracy
  • Experience with the following software is required:
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)
    • Databases and/or ERP systems
  • Experience with the following preferred, but not required:
    • Manufacturing companies
    • Electrical or electronic components
    • Import/Export documentation and processes
    • ERP software migrations
    • filePro databases or Epicor ERP
    • ISO, LEAN and ITAR
    • Materials and Inventory systems
    • Forklift
  • Candidates must have ability to occasionally work extended hours
