Job summary

Caterpillar in East Peoria, IL is seeking an entry-level Machinist Trainee for 2nd shift to learn CNC machining and contribute to producing high-precision parts. Training lasts 4-6 weeks and leads to setup and operation of CNC machines after completion.

The role requires basic troubleshooting, strong safety mindset, good communication, and willingness to work overtime when needed. This is a supplemental, full-time position with potential for overtime and night shift premium.

• Accurately apply intermediate mathematical skill, including geometry, trigonometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversion of fractions and decimals.

The Machining Trainee program is a paid program designed to provide a unique learning experience for highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in machining.
