Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Warehouse/Storeroom Associate at the High Point facility to manage medical supplies inventory for designated departments. Responsibilities include counting par levels, replenishing stock, organizing storage spaces, and notifying leads of low stock or outages.

The role supports patient care areas with accurate labeling and stock rotation, ensuring timely deliveries. Expect a 40-hour work week, 07:00-15:30, Monday through Friday, with benefits eligible.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical supplies inventory for designated departments.
• Count and replenish par levels per schedule.
• Ensure proper labeling of patient chargeable items with date and charge number.
• Rotate stock to prevent expirations and replenish par levels.
• Keep storeroom organized and clean; communicate stock needs to lead.
• Support courier, bed storage, and transfer services as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintains medical supplies inventory for designated departments.
• Accurately counts par levels and replenishes par levels per established schedule.
• Organizes storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Notifies lead distribution technician when any stock levels reaches critical low levels or outage.
• Ensures that all patient chargeable items are clearly and accurately labeled with date and charge number. Accuracy in matching goods with receiving slips.
• Accuracy in counting supplies on assigned par levels.
• Accuracy in checking for expired goods.
• Amends par level sheets to meet the needs of the department.
• Rotates incoming supplies with supplies on the shelf to ensure that no products expire.
• Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
• Ensures the highest possible level of service to patient care areas through accurate inventory of par stock areas.
• Ensures the rotation of medical supplies within the par stock area on each nursing unit.
• Assumes responsibility for over the counter issues, courier service and bed storage/transfer services.
• Ensures all work areas are clean and orderly.
• Ensure materials and supplies are placed properly in designated location for distribution.

Performs Storeroom and materials distribution services including inventorying, checking, stocking, issuing and delivering of medical supplies on a daily basis to all nursing units. Provides assistance as representative of the Storeroom to the nursing unit in resolving problems concerning stock levels. Responsible and accountable for receipts of all stock items and keeping par levels of medical supplies for the Medical-Surgical units.
