Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a warehouse/distribution professional to maintain medical supplies inventory for designated departments, ensuring accurate par levels and timely replenishment.

Responsibilities include organizing storage areas, labeling patient chargeable items, and rotating stock to prevent expiration, while upholding hospital standards and providing high-quality service to patient care areas.

• Accurately counts par levels and replenishes par levels per established schedule.
• Organizes storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Notifies lead distribution technician when stock levels reach critical low levels or outage.
• Ensures that patient chargeable items are labeled with date and charge number; matches goods with receiving slips.
• Counts supplies on assigned par levels accurately.
• Checks for expired goods and rotates stock accordingly.
• Rotates incoming supplies with shelf stock to prevent expiration.
• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment via communication and teamwork.
• Ensures highest possible service level to patient care areas through accurate inventory of par stock areas.
• Rotates medical supplies within par stock areas on nursing units.
• Oversees over the counter issues, courier service and bed storage/transfer services.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly and ensures proper placement of materials for distribution.

Essential Functions

• Maintains medical supplies inventory for designated departments.
• Accurately counts par levels and replenishes par levels per established schedule.
• Organizes storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Notifies lead distribution technician when any stock levels reaches critical low levels or outage.
• Ensures that all patient chargeable items are clearly and accurately labeled with date and charge number. Accuracy in matching goods with receiving slips.
• Accuracy in counting supplies on assigned par levels.
• Accuracy in checking for expired goods.
• Amends par level sheets to meet the needs of the department.
• Rotates incoming supplies with supplies on the shelf to ensure that no products expire.
• Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
• Ensures the highest possible level of service to patient care areas through accurate inventory of par stock areas.
• Ensures the rotation of medical supplies within the par stock area on each nursing unit.
• Assumes responsibility for over the counter issues, courier service and bed storage/transfer services.
• Ensures all work areas are clean and orderly.
• Ensure materials and supplies are placed properly in designated location for distribution.

Performs Storeroom and materials distribution services including inventorying, checking, stocking, issuing and delivering of medical supplies on a daily basis to all nursing units. Provides assistance as representative of the Storeroom to the nursing unit in resolving problems concerning stock levels. Responsible and accountable for receipts of all stock items and keeping par levels of medical supplies for the Medical-Surgical units.
