Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to be trained and take direction.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

  • Meets minimum quota set for assigned department.
  • Inspects donated merchandise, analyzing quality and determining proper category.
  • Safeguards company property, including donated goods.
  • Reports incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property.
  • May be cross-trained to work in salvage, grading, and/or Forklift Operator.
  • Receives and processes merchandise.
  • Maintains workstation in an organized and safe manner.
  • Maintains a clean work environment, including restrooms, floors, walls, windows, and parking lots.
  • Follows safety rules and uses appropriate safety equipment.
  • Reports unsafe or potential hazards promptly.
  • Maintains regular in-person attendance.
  • Models Goodwill Core Values – Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

4910 Executive Ct Frederick Maryland, 21703, Starting Pay: $15.50 Hourly

Position Description: Processes required amount of donated merchandise in preparation for sale to salvage vendors for Goodwill of Monocacy Valley (GIMV) and its affiliated entities. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meets minimum quota set for assigned department.
  • Inspects donated merchandise, as required, analyzing quality and determining proper category.
  • Safeguards company property, including donated goods.
  • Reports any incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property.
  • May be cross-trained to work in salvage, grading, and/or Forklift Operator.
  • Receives and processes merchandise.
  • Maintains workstation in an organized and safe manner free from food, drink, or other personal items.
  • Maintains a clean work environment, including restrooms, floors, walls, windows, and parking lots, as directed.
  • Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
  • Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
  • Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
