Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Frederick, MD. Starting pay is $15.50 per hour. You will process donated merchandise, ensure safety, and maintain organized work areas while meeting department quotas.

Responsibilities include item inspection and categorization, safeguarding inventory, reporting incidents, and potential cross-training in salvage, grading or forklift operations. Benefits and growth opportunities are available within a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must be trainable and able to follow directions.

4910 Executive Ct Frederick Maryland, 21703, Starting Pay: $15.50 Hourly

Position Description: Processes required amount of donated merchandise in preparation for sale to salvage vendors for Goodwill of Monocacy Valley (GIMV) and its affiliated entities. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Meets minimum quota set for assigned department.
• Inspects donated merchandise, as required, analyzing quality and determining proper category.
• Safeguards company property, including donated goods.
• Reports any incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property.
• May be cross-trained to work in salvage, grading, and/or Forklift Operator.
• Receives and processes merchandise.
• Maintains workstation in an organized and safe manner free from food, drink, or other personal items.
• Maintains a clean work environment, including restrooms, floors, walls, windows, and parking lots, as directed.
• Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
• Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
