Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is offering an internship for Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering students in Cleveland, Ohio. Interns will work with engineering and operations leaders to solve real-world problems and may be considered for future full-time employment.

Responsibilities include reviewing production data, analyzing non-conforming products, participating in quality-improvement efforts, conducting mill experiments, and preparing regular reports.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or other related technical degree.
• Completion of at least sophomore year by summer 2027.

As a Material Science/Metallurgical Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.
