Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Material Requirements Planning Manager 2 in the Baltimore area. This hybrid role reports to the MRP and Engineering Support manager and focuses on mastering production schedules, plan integrity, and lead-time initiatives within manufacturing cells.

The candidate will collaborate with Operations, Global Supply Chain, and Program Management, guiding teams, resolving scheduling issues, and pursuing continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other technical or business related field.
  • Experience with SAP and MRP fundamentals.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process Master Production Schedule requirements.
  • Guide MRP plan maintenance to ensure integrity and reflect executable plans.
  • Maintain lead time planning initiatives within Baltimore manufacturing cells.
  • Review and release material purchase requisitions.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Material Requirements Planning Manager 2 based out of Baltimore, MD. This is a Hybrid position. You must be local to the Baltimore, MD area with the ability to be on-site for team meetings and training. The Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Manager 2 will report to the Manager, BWI MRP and Engineering Support.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and processing Master Production Schedule requirements
  • Guidance of MRP plan maintenance to ensure integrity and reflect executable plans
  • Maintenance of lead time planning initiatives within Baltimore manufacturing cells
  • Review and release of material purchase requisitions
  • Incorporation of engineering change notices into manufacturing and order bills of materials
What You’ll Get to Do
  • Develop collaborative relationships with functional stakeholders, including Operations Project Managers, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Production Control, to achieve scheduling culture change and ensure schedule compliance to government requirements
  • Work with cross-functional representatives to sustain lead time planning within Baltimore and Troy Hill manufacturing cells
  • Manage employees to existing metrics, and where needed, identify and implement new metrics
  • Work with MRP master planners and analysts to resolve master schedules and production problems
  • Constructively contribute to and/or identify future MRP initiatives at BWI and TH
  • Participate and actively contribute to the MRP Community of Practice
  • Resolve workload conflicts, make staffing decisions, and participate in departmental leadership discussions
  • Support BWI Manufacturing scheduling initiatives
  • Communicate relevant information both up and down the functional organization
  • Foster innovation and implement continuous process improvement
  • Cultivate an environment where employees will stay engaged
  • Support S/4 and MPLM system rollouts
  • Obtain the ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other technical or business related field with 8 years of relevant experience
  • Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other technical or business related field with 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing/supply chain environment
  • Experience with leading people and/or teams
  • Experience with SAP and MRP fundamentals
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active/Current U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  • ASCM CPIM or CSCP Certification
  • Previous experience with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and/or Operations Project Manager functions
  • Previous experience with continuous improvement projects and teams
  • Intermediate MS Excel / data analysis skills
  • SAP S/4 knowledge a plus
  • Teamcenter Mission PLM knowledge a plus
  • Comfortable using AI tools

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,600.00 - $173,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and or personal business.
