Job summary

MOBIS North America is seeking a Materials Receiver/Coordinator to support automotive manufacturing operations in Toledo, OH. The role emphasizes accurate receipt of materials, FIFO yard discipline, and collaboration with internal departments and external representatives to resolve production issues.

The position requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 2+ years in manufacturing, and a valid Hi-lo license.

Qualifications

• High School graduate minimum; Associate degree preferred.
• At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing automotive environment.
• Hi-lo license required.
• Ability to teach and lead others on material handling matters.
• Capable and experienced with safe operation of material handling equipment (fork trucks, tote carts, tuggers).
• Familiar with part sequencing, kiting, bar coding and safe material handling principles.
• Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Above average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of internal shop order numbers and their components and importance.

Responsibilities

• Authenticate receipt of direct and consigned material shipments alongside bills of lading, invoices or other records.
• Confer and correspond with internal departments and external representatives supporting production operations to execute requests and rectify problems.
• Manage trailer yard records to maintain First In First Out (FIFO) throughout the plant.
• Assist in verification of incoming material as to part number and quantity against the receipt.
• Report discrepancies to the Materials Coordinator and maintain incoming material checklists.
• Ensure shipping/receiving roles are carried out efficiently and timely; report late deliveries.
• File packing slips daily and archive old documents quarterly; provide daily yard reports.
• Perform daily cycle counts and assist inventory error investigations with Materials Manager and Coordinator.
