Job summary

Dearing Compressor is seeking an Order Puller to locate, pick, verify, and stage raw materials and parts for manufacturing in a heavy industrial setting. The role emphasizes inventory accuracy and timely delivery to staging areas and departments.

The candidate will work with ERP and inventory systems, perform material handling, and maintain clean, safe warehouse areas while supporting production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets system-generated pick tickets, work orders, and material requests to determine required parts, quantities, and delivery locations.
• Locates and retrieves materials from designated warehouse shelves, bins, racks, and storage areas.
• Accurately verifies part numbers, descriptions, quantities, heat numbers, and material identification against pick tickets and system records.
• Uses the ERP system to review material availability, identify inventory locations, and confirm material requirements.
• Picks, stages, and delivers materials for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and other internal departments according to established priorities and production schedules.
• Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies, missing materials, incorrect bin locations, damaged parts, and other material issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Operates forklifts, powered pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required.
• Assists with inventory cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives as assigned.
• Maintains clean, organized, and safe warehouse aisles, storage areas, and material staging locations.
