Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a materials planner/procurement professional for on-site work in Clarksville, TN. You will procure production, inventory, and MRO items, analyze requisitions, and onboard suppliers to support PFEP and ERP workflows.

The role emphasizes maintaining optimal inventory, coordinating with QA, exploring total cost improvements, and supporting KanBan. Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years experience, APICS CPIM preferred.

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years materials/planning experience.
• APICS CPIM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of supplier bases and MRP.

Responsibilities

• Procure production/inventory/MRO items in a timely, cost-conscious manner.
• Receive and analyze requisitions for quantity and delivery requirements.
• Onboard suppliers and qualify new sources for material planning.
• Maintain ABC classification for PFEP and inputs into PFEP processes.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and safety stock.
• Coordinate with QA to resolve supplier quality issues.
• Identify total cost and cash flow opportunities with suppliers.
• Analyze and select parts for KanBan and supplier replenishment.
• Maintain PFEP and item master data based on processes and demand.
• Support change management project deliverables and actions.
• Ensure BOS and standard work during changes and safety compliance.
• Coach and drive improvements in the materials organization.

Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

What you will do:

• Perform timely, cost-conscious procurement of production/inventory/MRO items.
• Receive and analyze requisitions to determine quantity, specifications and delivery requirements.
• Develop and on-boarding of new selected suppliers relative to material planning.
• Ensure up-to-date ABC classification is maintained for planning, and other key inputs into the PFEP process.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for their parts.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
• Identify total cost and cash flow opportunities with suppliers.
• Analyze and select parts for KanBan and Supplier replenishment.
• Maintains PFEP and item master information based upon process improvements, current constraints, total current demand by product family, and priority information.
• Support change management project teams to develop project deliverables, resources required, detailed implementation actions, and launch containment plans.
• Ensure compliance to BOS (Business Operating System) and standard work during change management phases and recommend modifications where needed.
• Ensure compliance to safety regulations and procedures are implemented during project phase.
• Coach and drive projects that improve all aspects of the materials organization.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years minimum materials/planning manufacturing experience
• APICS (CPIM) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Considerable knowledge of industry related supply base and materials
• Skilled in production and supplier scheduling.
• Knowledgeable of supplier processes and capabilities.
• Computer proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
• Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
• Experience with visual management systems.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$69,600.00 - $124,950.00 Compensation Type: Salary Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
