Job summary

Raytheon seeks a seasoned Material Program Manager to lead materials management for a DoD program. You will oversee cost, schedule and quality, manage supplier performance, and drive cross-functional coordination with IPTs and operations.

Candidates should have 8+ years of relevant experience and a current TS clearance or the ability to obtain one. The role is onsite in the US with opportunities to shape supplier agreements, risk mitigation, and program execution across the DoD landscape.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience; 5–8+ years depending on degree.
  • Experience with supply chain, vendor management, risk assessment and supplier performance.
  • Experience with subcontract proposals/contracts and FAR/DFAR compliance.
  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government clearance required prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans.
  • Procurement strategy, including RFPs, risk and opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
  • May act as the Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Identify and secure Supply Chain resources to support the capture plan and manage the supply chain content of the proposal pipeline.
  • Review RFPs and bid packages; implement KPIs with the supply base for on-time delivery.
  • Work with Operations, Planning and Finance to optimize planning and supply chain cycle.
  • Support IPTs to resolve supply chain issues and serve as supply chain SME.
  • Lead projects to improve supply chain performance and efficiencies.
  • Assess and mitigate risk in supplier agreements; negotiate complex agreements through lifecycle.

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support a special program within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit. The MPM is accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance. This MPM role will report directly to the Program MPM Leads, with accountability to the Program Management Office.

This is an elevated MPM role which requires practical knowledge and experience in navigating the execution of processes, projects, and tactics, understanding the impact of the work as it relates to AOP and other stake holder areas within the organization. The successful candidate will have financial, contracting, proposal development and negotiating experience and have project management responsibilities including, but not limited to risk and opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do
  • Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of
  • Procurement strategy, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
  • May be tasked to act as the Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Identify and secure Supply Chain resources to support the capture plan and manage the Supply Chain content of the proposal pipeline.
  • Review and assess request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  • Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to the plan.
  • Work closely with Operations, Planning and Finance functions to optimize planning and supply chain cycle to meet development requirements.
  • Support and engage with various Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve supply chain issues and serve as supply chain SME for other functional areas.
  • Lead projects to enhance Supply Chain performance, continuous improvement and efficiencies.
  • Assess and mitigate risk associated with Supplier agreements (delivery, quality, incentives, etc.).
  • Negotiate complex agreements and manage throughout contract lifecycle.
  • Set objectives and guide others on the execution and approach to achieve developmental results.
  • Explain policies, practices, and procedures and may influence others.
  • Manage and evaluate difficult scenarios that involve consideration of many variables.
  • Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with supply chain, vendor management, risk assessment/mitigation and/or supplier performance management
  • Experience in subcontract proposals/contracts
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR compliance
  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance level or program access prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Prior experience as a Material Program Manager.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
