Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned Material Program Manager to support Tucson, AZ programs. You will autonomously manage multiple projects, addressing risk, cost/schedule, and mentoring junior staff to grow their capabilities.

The ideal candidate has financial, contracting, and negotiating experience, plus strong communication to lead IPTs and coordinate with suppliers. A university degree with extensive experience and an active DoD secret clearance are preferred; travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree with 5+ years preferred.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required before start date.

Responsibilities

  • Execute material strategies to support program objectives.
  • Support supplier, program, and IPT reviews with procurement plan visibility and issue escalation.
  • Proactively identify procurement/delivery gaps and coordinate with support teams to improve throughput.
  • Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity plans to meet AOP and program responsibilities; manage mitigations.
  • Manage budgets for buy parts and supply chain labor in the EAC process.
  • Provide Can-Build oversight including metrics and health assessments.
  • Support prime proposals and program start-up with Material Product Strategies and Plans.
  • Support RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and evaluate supplier proposals/quotes.
  • Flow customer/product requirements to suppliers and engage with suppliers on capability, capacity, risk.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Raytheon is seeking a seasoned Material Program Manager (MPM) professional to support programs locatedin Tucson, AZ. They will work autonomously managing multiple projects with limited oversight from management. The desired MPM will be able to proactively overcome complex issues through effective communication and influence. They must also be passionate about engaging lower-level professionals to help them overcome issues and grow.

The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, proposal development, and negotiating experience. They must have project management responsibilities including but not limited to risk and opportunity management and cost/schedule management.

What You Will Do
  • Execute material strategies to support program objectives.
  • Support recurring supplier, program, and IPT Reviews including visibility of procurement plans and escalation of supply chain issues.
  • Implement a forward-looking approach to procurement, pro-actively identifying procurement/delivery gaps, and leveraging the appropriate support teams to drive throughput of product deliveries.
  • Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity (R&O) plans to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & program responsibilities; Proactively manage mitigation plans.
  • Manage budgets for all buy parts and supply chain labor in support of the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process.
  • Supplier Can-Build oversight including metrics and health assessments.
  • Support prime proposals and program start-up including developing and executing Material Product Strategies (MPS) and Plans (MPP).
  • Support Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs) and obtain and understand supplier proposals/quotes.
  • Flow customer and product requirements to suppliers; Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
  • Willing to travel, as required.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • ERP systems experience such as SAP, PRISM, Kinaxis or equivalent.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Financial Acumen: AOP, Forecasting, Estimates at Complete, Earned Value Management, CAM knowledge.
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to grasp/understand technical concepts and applications.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to competing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
