V2X Material Program Manager Job Description

V2X is growing! We are seeking a Material Program Manager to join our team.

The Material Program Manager (MPM) acts as the liaison between the Program team and other supply chain functions. They are responsible for ensuring that program requirements are met by the supply base and work closely with Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and other departments to resolve issues and execute the program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management, communication, and critical thinking skills, and be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving organizational and program goals with minimal supervision. Responsibilities range from new business capture activities to contract closure.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans for the program(s).
  2. Providing comprehensive supply chain support throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring compliance and tailoring strategies as needed.
  3. Owning supply chain processes, including supplier performance, metrics, international issues, Make/Buy plans, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
  4. Guiding supply chain proposal activities, including task descriptions and bases of estimates.
  5. Developing and executing risk and opportunity plans to meet program targets.
  6. Identifying and developing opportunities for small business participation.
  7. Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
  8. Acting as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material and SCM labor.
  9. Implementing supplier management best practices, including risk mitigation and subcontract organization plans.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of directly related experience in Supply Chain or related fields.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data manipulation).
  • Experience with industry standards such as AS9100, TS16949.
  • Experience in process-driven and regulation-driven industries, with a good understanding of processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to access US-only data systems and potentially obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance within 1 year.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in Procurement, Subcontracts, Contracts, Program Management, or Budget Management.
  • Understanding of government regulations (FAR / DFARS, ITAR / EAR, TINA).
  • Experience with MRP systems like SAP and supply chain tools.
  • Technical knowledge of hardware applications and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience developing Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Proven results in continuous improvement processes.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or related fields.
Preferred Education:
  • Master's Degree (MA, MS, MBA) or equivalent.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Relocation is not available for this position.
