Job summary

Assurant is seeking a shiftOps/Team Lead in Irving, TX to support supervisors by training staff, reallocating resources, and driving production metrics. Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience leading, training, coaching, or directing employees in a manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or operations environment.
  • High level of computer proficiency, including navigating multiple systems, analyzing data, and using reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed productivity, quality, and performance expectations while serving as a role model.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings with the Supervisor.
  • Reallocate resources, including employees, supplies, equipment, and products, to meet goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper workflow and timely issue resolution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and assist with escalations during the shift.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and submit recommendations to Supervisors and Engineering.
  • Assist with implementing operational changes and adjustments on the warehouse floor.
  • Perform on-the-job training, refresher training, and workstation assessments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and aging inventory within the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor daily KPIs, SLAs, productivity, and quality metrics; support corrective actions.
  • Compile and analyze operational data and complete daily reports.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain proficiency and certification in the area supported.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and escalating concerns.
  • Lead by example with hands-on presence to support associates and meet objectives.
  • Train, coach, and mentor associates while reinforcing productivity, quality, safety, and attendance.

Job description

This job is responsible for working with the Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility. This role is based at our Irving, TX location with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm

What will be my duties and responsibilities be in this job?
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings with the Supervisor.
  • Work with the Supervisor to reallocate resources, including employees, supplies, equipment, and products, as needed to meet customer and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper workflow and timely resolution of operational issues.

  • Train, coach, and mentor associates while reinforcing productivity, quality, safety, and attendance expectations.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
  1. 1+ years of experience leading, training, coaching, or directing employees in a manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or operations environment.
  2. High level of computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate multiple systems, analyze data, and utilize reporting tools effectively.
  3. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed productivity, quality, and operational performance expectations while serving as a role model for associates.
  4. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple operational priorities.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating with Supervisors and cross‑functional teams.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
  1. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  2. Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Power BI.
  3. Experience analyzing operational data and generating reports to support business decisions.
  4. Experience using Oracle, Power BI, SQL, warehouse management systems, or similar reporting and operational platforms.
  5. Experience training, coaching, and developing associates in a warehouse or operational environment.
  6. Strong continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and recommend process improvements.
Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 17,34 - $ 27,75 Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
