Assurant in Mt Juliet, TN seeks a Senior Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead a high-volume manufacturing and distribution operation with full accountability for performance, financial results, and team success. This onsite role requires hands-on leadership to drive productivity, quality, and continuous improvement across production, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, repair, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Experience supervising and developing hourly employees in a high-volume operation.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and production processes.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational performance, workforce productivity, and process improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to support multiple shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Own the performance of your assigned business unit, including operational results, productivity, quality, safety, employee engagement, and cost performance.
  • Drive achievement of production goals through effective workforce planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Manage key performance indicators including yield, cost-per-unit (CPU), throughput, revenue-impacting processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor operational dashboards and performance metrics to identify trends, solve problems, and drive corrective actions.
  • Partner with site leadership to execute strategic initiatives, capacity planning, automation opportunities, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of hourly associates and frontline leaders to achieve performance goals.
  • Manage all people leadership activities, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, employee engagement, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings focused on performance, development, and career growth.
  • Maintain training compliance and workforce readiness through effective management of training and skill-development programs.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance culture.
  • Champion Lean, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to optimize processes, resolve issues, and implement new products or workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance customer outcomes.
  • Serve as a key liaison across departments, shifts, and stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and execution.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and productive work environment by ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and actively support risk reduction initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you will lead a high-volume manufacturing and distribution operation with full accountability for operational performance, financial results, and team success. Acting as the business owner for your assigned area, you will drive productivity, quality, cost efficiency, employee engagement, and continuous improvement while ensuring exceptional execution across production, inventory, warehousing, and logistics functions. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a results‑driven operational leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments, develops high‑performing teams, and consistently delivers measurable business outcomes. This is an onsite role in our Mt Juliet TN facility.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with operational reporting and performance management tools such as Tableau
Pay Range

Pay Range: $64,900.00 - $108,200.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
