Job summary

Assurant in Irving, TX is seeking a supervisor-minded professional to guide a team on the shop floor, monitor production performance, and ensure quality controls align with work instructions.

You will collaborate with Supervisors, logistics, and engineering, lead training and on-the-job coaching, manage resources, and participate in 6S audits to drive safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1+ year lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production performance with Supervisors and support training.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal meetings.
• Reallocate resources to meet customer goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper workflow.
• Be the point of contact for escalations from employees.
• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues.
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergencies.
• Participate with the 6S Audit team and implement changes from audits.
• Ensure safe, efficient operations and update production floor as needed.
• Forklift certified if needed for the area of responsibility.
• On-the-job refresher training and station assessments.

Job description

This job is responsible for working with the Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility.

This role is based at our Irving, TX location with a schedule of Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM- 4:30 PM.

What will be my duties and responsibilities be in this job?

• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor
• Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings
• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals
• Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
• Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues
• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes
• Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits
• Work with supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on production floor as a result from the audits
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and work station assessment
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and elevate any issues/concerns to supervisor when needed

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or another applicable environment preferred
• Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility
• Training environment experience
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading

Pay Range

$17.34 - $27.75
