Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Manhattan Beach, CA is seeking an Associate Engineer Material Process to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The role involves working with EEEE components, coordinating with design and manufacturing teams, and ensuring part specifications meet program requirements.

U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain Secret clearance is required. The position offers a 9/80 schedule, relocation assistance may be available, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 1 year related experience (Level 1) or Master’s with 1 year related experience
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable time
• Experience with the selection and application of EEEE components
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tools

Responsibilities

• Work independently to provide innovative technical solutions to difficult problems
• Collaborate with design engineers on EEEE components selection and application
• Create Component Specifications or Source Control Documents to meet Program Requirements
• Coordinate with manufacturing and vendors to resolve qualification and test issues
• Review BOMs and Part attributes in PLM system
• Support Supply Chain with procurement requirements and supplier selection
• Assist Subcontractors with EEEE Part requirements interpretation
