Position Summary

Kelvion, one of the leading global manufacturers of heat exchangers, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Material Planning Manager to join our team. This individual will oversee the Material Planning team, ensuring a consistent and adequate supply of materials for production operations. They will work closely with production department heads regarding production goals, timelines, and other related needs. The MPM will report, track production volume, monitor customer demand patterns, and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products. The ideal candidate should be able to forecast material, goods, and product volumes accurately from our supply chain partners.

Overall Objective of the Role

To ensure materials and services for production are available on time and under the requested conditions for day‑to‑day business execution and for the long‑term company goals.

Primary Customer Focus

To ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, safety and functionality, is evident in the work completed by the Material Planning Department, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Oversee material planning and supplier scheduling processes.
  • Support and/or lead initiatives related to improving cost and supply conditions (lead time, quality, on‑time delivery, payment terms, etc.) of materials, components, investments, and services to meet company objectives.
  • Define appropriate material planning and ordering processes (MRP, reorder point, spot order, etc.) for each type of material or service, considering customer orders lead time, supplier lead time, availability, and bill of materials reliability.
  • Drive necessary actions with Purchasing when source or purchasing conditions are not fully defined. Escalate unresolved cases to Purchasing when suppliers raise concerns or partially/fully reject an order.
  • Maintain close interaction with key stakeholders such as Sales, Production, and Engineering to consider their specific needs.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Base knowledge and understanding of material planning and supplier scheduling (customer order intake, production planning, incoming material scheduling, outbound transportation) and ERP‑based supporting systems, along with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Proven experience leading a team with defined objectives.
  • Purpose‑driven, target‑oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proactive in identifying continual improvement opportunities.
  • Flexible in resolving external and internal conflict situations.
Education and Experience (Required Levels)
  • BA in Supply Chain Management or related area of study.
  • At least 4 years of experience in material planning and ordering in an international industrial environment, with a minimum total working experience of 8 years.
  • Ability to delegate and develop personnel under direct responsibility, ensuring proper training, career path, and evaluation application.
