Job summary

Gestamp is seeking a Materials Planning Analyst to generate real-time reporting for EDI, MRP, and KPIs and to assist in supplier reconciliations, aged inventory analysis, freight and container management. You will work within the Materials Planning Department, collaborating with Finance to resolve discrepancies and support Kaizen initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree (or 3–5 years manufacturing/planning experience), SAP experience, and strong Excel/reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate EDI reports from SAP and distribute analysis reports.
• Participate in MRP / SAP cleanup activities.
• Track and report department KPIs.
• Review aged inventory at sub-suppliers and generate reports.
• Monitor and report receipts, production, and inventory data to maintain material levels.
• Perform supplier reconciliations in SAP.
• Track container management for sub-suppliers.
• Analyze cycle count adjustments for inventory accountability.
• Handle freight needs for the department and analyze premium freight.
• Collaborate with Finance to close open invoice discrepancies.
• Create and maintain service demand analysis.
• Support team functions: Kaizen submissions, cross-training, backfilling roles, problem solving, and meeting material needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Analyst will assist the Materials Planning Department, by generating real time reporting for EDI, MRP and KPIs to the group. Will also assist in duties such as Supplier Reconciliations, Aged Inventory Analysis, Freight Analysis, Container Management along with other duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate EDI reports from SAP, with customer demand and distribute analysis reports.
• Participate in MRP / SAP Cleanup activities.
• Track and report out department KPI’s
• Review Aged Inventory at Sub-Suppliers, pushing disposition and generate aged inventory reports
• Monitors and reports receipts, production, scrap, and other inventory-related data on the computer to accurately maintain inventory levels of production material;
• Performs Supplier Reconciliations in SAP
• Tracks and controls container management for Sub-Suppliers
• Analyzes cycle count adjustments to ensure accurate inventory accountability and make recommendations to the Materials Manager;
• Handles Freight needs for department (UberFreight) – maintaining dedicated lanes and analyzing premium freight.
• Works with Finance to close out open invoices that may have discrepancies.
• Creates and Maintains Service Demand Analysis
• Support team functions by:
  • Kaizen submittal and implementation
  • Cross-training with others
  • Backfills other materials positions as needed

  • Supports materials metrics and meets materials needs
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Or 3-5 years manufacturing/planning experience
• SAP experience
• Excellent Excel and Reporting experience
