Job summary

• Experience in material planning, purchasing, procurement, production control, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience creating, releasing, monitoring, and maintaining purchase orders.
• Strong supplier communication and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to analyze inventory, demand, lead times, and production requirements.
• Experience working with an ERP/MRP system.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review material requirements, production schedules, and inventory levels to determine meet needs.
• Create, release, and maintain purchase orders based on production requirements and planning parameters.
• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to confirm quantities, pricing, delivery dates, and product availability.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding orders, changes, late deliveries, shortages, quality concerns, and other material issues.
• Track supplier commitments and identify potential shortages or disruptions.
