Job summary

Trane Technologies, a global leader in sustainable climate solutions, seeks a Material Planner to join the Field Purchasing team. You will manage local direct procurement for Trane Supply Parts Stores and ensure parts availability through daily collaboration with stores and suppliers.

You will source supplier quotes, maintain supplier and part data in P21, and process purchase orders in alignment with purchasing requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1 year of relevant purchasing experience, or 5+ years in lieu of degree
• Proficient with MS Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Organized and able to handle a large volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• P21 knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Source supplier quotes per customer needs.
• Manage local purchase parts setup in P21.
• Procure material via purchase orders; coordinate with stores and suppliers.
• Communicate purchasing requests with field, stores, and suppliers.
• Maintain supplier and part data accurately in systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects to drive improvements.
