Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Material Planner to manage daily production picks, review BOMs, and coordinate with purchasing for material availability. The role includes converting planned orders, monitoring inventories, and supporting line planners on the production floor.

The position emphasizes strong troubleshooting, basic math, and the ability to learn AS400-based processes. Equal opportunity employer; overtime may be required, and safety gear must be worn on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• PIV training may be required.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
• Ability to learn and run computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Create, enter, and manage daily production picks.
• Review BOMs for material availability.
• Pull schedule and run PIKs using PLR 100 in AS400.
• Send daily critical parts reports to purchasing.
• Enter MSR/CCR for product issues on the line.
• Identify and report issues in TRS structure.
• Assist with inventory corrections and material returns.
• Convert released planned orders for production.
• Monitor planned orders and coordinate with teams.
