Job summary

SESC0 Cement is seeking a Material Planner to coordinate the packaging, inventory, and dispatch of cement. You will balance plant production with fast-moving distribution demands and ensure that materials and finished inventory meet market needs without exceeding warehouse limits.

The role emphasizes maintaining material availability, monitoring supplier performance, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs while supporting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, order, and maintain optimal stock levels for packaging materials and pallets.
• Coordinate with the packing plant supervisor to align weekly bagging schedules with forecasts.
• Monitor finished goods storage limits to prevent warehouse congestion and manage FIFO rotation.
• Partner with logistics teams to schedule truck loading and minimize customer wait times.
• Track packaging material breakage, spillage, and variance to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with Sales, Quality Control, and Plant Operations on demand spikes.
• Develop and maintain material planning strategies to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Create, manage, and adjust MRP schedules based on forecasts and production plans.
