Job summary

Allison Transmission in the United States is seeking a skilled Materials Planner to plan and schedule component materials to meet production and service schedules while optimizing inventory levels.

You will use SAP to set planning parameters, coordinate daily with suppliers, manage MRP exceptions, monitor delivery performance, and drive improvements in inventory turns and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning or similar.
• Experience with SAP and MRP processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule component material to meet production and service schedules.
• Set planning parameters by part number in SAP to optimize inventory.
• Communicate daily with internal and external suppliers to maintain schedules.
• Manage MRP exception messages and delivery issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive inventory turns.
• Support engineering change implementation.
• Minimize premium freight expense.
• Uphold internal controls and risk management.
• Collaborate across teams to meet business needs.
