Motus Integrated Technologies in Holland, MI is seeking a Material Planner to grow in automotive supply chain. You will learn how customer demand translates into production requirements, manage supplier schedules, and proactively handle risks to protect production continuity.

You'll work with Plex ERP, develop forecasting, and build expertise in JIT, lead times, safety stock and inventory control while partnering with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Quality to optimize material flow.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, industrial engineering, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in shipping & receiving, purchasing, orders, material planning, supplier scheduling, production control, logistics, or supply chain in automotive/manufacturing.

Aufgaben

• Create and maintain supplier schedules and forecasts within Plex ERP.
• Initiate JIT lean tool strategies.
• Identify material risks before they disrupt production.
• Monitor supplier performance and address delivery issues.
• Manage daily material shortages and develop recovery plans.
• Understand planning parameters like lead times, MOQ, safety stock, and inventory requirements.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Quality, Shipping, Receiving, and Customer Service to resolve issues.
• Support engineering changes, new programs, and end-of-life material planning.
• Analyze supplier capacity and risks affecting production or delivery.
• Support initiatives to reduce inventory while protecting production continuity.
• Use data and reporting to identify trends, solve problems, and improve supplier performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement to improve planning accuracy and scheduling efficiency.
