Job summary

Workhorse is seeking a Material Planner to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials for production in our Indiana operations. You will forecast material needs, build schedules, and coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics to optimize inventory levels and delivery timelines.

The role requires 2+ years in material planning or related fields, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of supply‑chain processes.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or GED required.
  • Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or related position.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply-chain management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.

What You Will Do
  • Determine the required materials and generate schedules.

  • Must successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
  • Position requires use of a Workhorse or customer‑owned vehicle. Offer of employment contingent upon a clean driving record, no more than four active points for moving violations, and no history of operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last ten years.
