What You Will Do
- Determine the required materials and generate schedules.
- Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timeliness, and related matters.
- Track production volume and monitor demand patterns and purchasing trends.
- Schedule and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products.
- Raise inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
- Actively seek ways to improve efficiency and quality within your own role while supporting broader company‑wide improvement projects that involve your function.
Requirements
- High‑school diploma or GED required.
- Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply‑chain management.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material‑management systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Position requires use of a Workhorse or customer‑owned vehicle. Offer of employment contingent upon a clean driving record, no more than four active points for moving violations, and no history of operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last ten years.
