Job summary

Workhorse Group is seeking a qualified Materials Planner to join our Indiana-based operations. This role focuses on ensuring a reliable supply of materials for production, creating schedules, and coordinating closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams.

You will analyze demand patterns, track inventory, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and quality. Domestic travel up to 10% is required, and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
  • Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic only.
  • Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
  • Must have clean driving record, no more than 4 active points for moving violations.

  • Responsible for seeking ways to improve efficiency and quality within your own role, while actively supporting broader company-wide improvement projects that involve your function.

  • This position requires the use of a Workhorse or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in Workhorse’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
