Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to align with production schedules and demand.
• Monitor and manage material flow through the supply chain to ensure timely availability for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Receiving, and Stockroom to resolve material issues and support schedule attainment.
• Review BOMs for structure, accuracy, and planning parameters; recommend adjustments as needed.
• Track shortages and excess materials and work with Purchasing to expedite orders or mitigate risks.
• Monitor supplier delivery dates and resolve delays with procurement.
• Support contracts and projects by managing material readiness and planning activities.
• Provide regular reporting on material status, shortages, and risks to internal stakeholders.
• Analyze demand and historical usage trends to improve forecasting accuracy.

TheMaterial Planneris responsible for ensuring the availability of materials to support production schedules, customer commitments, and inventory optimization. This role manages material requirements, monitors supply flow, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to minimize shortages and excess while supporting on-time delivery performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material requirements planning (MRP) to align with production schedules and customer demand.

• Monitor and manage material flow through the supply chain, ensuring timely availability for manufacturing operations.

• Collaborate with Program Managers, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Receiving, and Stockroom to resolve material issues and support schedule attainment.

• Review bills of material (BOMs) for structure, accuracy, and planning parameters; recommend adjustments as needed.

• Track shortages and excess materials, partnering with Purchasing to expedite orders or mitigate risks.

• Support new contracts and projects by managing material readiness and planning activities.

Qualifications

Level 1 Bachelor’s degree and minimum 0-2 years of prior experience or 4 years of prior experience in liu of education.

Level 2 Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of prior experience or 6 years of prior experience in liu of education.

Level 3 Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of prior experience or 8 years of prior experience in liu of education.

• Prior experience in amanufacturing or production support environmentis required.

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Infor LN, Oracle, or equivalent) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Ability to analyze demand data, forecasts, and material reports to drive planning decisions.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving material shortages.

• Knowledge of electronic components, high-reliability (hi-rel) parts, and associated supply chain processes preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and program stakeholders.
