Job summary

Acara Solutions seeks a Materials Planner 2 to support material planning, inventory coordination, and supply chain operations for new product launches and ongoing production. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production Control, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to ensure materials are available, tracked, and moved efficiently.

We are seeking a Materials Planner 2 to support material planning, inventory coordination, and supply chain operations for new product introductions and ongoing production activities. In this role, you'll work closely with Engineering, Production Control, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to ensure materials are available, accurately tracked, and moved efficiently throughout the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials throughout the production cycle.
• Coordinate engineering-owned materials to support shipments for new products, including SAF, ZSA, and wafer-related activities.
• Manage the Project Services Fremont mailbox and respond to material-related requests.
• Oversee reservations and tracking for materials staged within inventory locations.
• Coordinate material transfers from engineering organizations into unrestricted inventory locations or laboratory environments.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and procurement-related data within enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Program Management, Product Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain teams.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate material status and delivery concerns.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and supply chain metrics for product groups and management.
• Support inventory accuracy and data integrity within planning and procurement systems.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• 2+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, production planning, or manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on experience using SAP within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Experience using SAP transactions such as MD04, MB51, LS24, ME27, MB21, MB22, and MB23.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
• Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs), inventory systems, or material management processes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

• Project management or project coordination experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and navigate multi-level Bills of Materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create clear instructions and communications related to inventory movement and material transfers.
• Experience supporting engineering, new product introduction (NPI), or manufacturing organizations.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to resolve material-related issues quickly and effectively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience creating reports and presentations for management review.
